April 2, 2020 I sat in my Brooklyn Apartment, newly furloughed from my job and restless. I decided to redecorate and took left over kente fabric and sewed them into pillows I posted them on my Instagram stories and immeagely my inbox overflowed with potential orders. The next day i took a leap of faith and a week later I posted my first pillow sets, which sold out in minutes. From there Tailored Pieces continues to expand beyond creativity, encouraging the consumers to take the creations and make them their own.
